“You” and “your” refer to the customer using our website or purchasing from us.
We currently sell to consumers in the United Kingdom only.
02Using Our Website
You may use our website for personal and lawful purposes.
You must not:
- —Use the website unlawfully
- —Attempt to interfere with its security or operation
- —Introduce viruses or malicious software
- —Copy or commercially exploit website content without permission
- —Use false information when placing an order
- —Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
We may suspend or restrict access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or suspected misuse.
03Our Products
Kavstn furniture is made from genuine natural marble and travertine.
Our products may include:
- —Dining tables
- —Coffee tables
- —Console tables
- —Side tables
- —Sideboards
- —Other natural stone furniture shown on our website
Product dimensions, specifications, materials and available options are shown on the relevant product page.
Please check these carefully before placing your order.
04Natural Stone Variation
Marble and travertine are natural materials.
No two slabs are identical.
Your furniture may naturally vary in:
- —Colour
- —Tone
- —Veining
- —Pattern
- —Texture
- —Pores
- —Mineral markings
- —Surface characteristics
These variations are an inherent feature of genuine natural stone and are not normally considered defects.
Images, samples and photographs on our website are intended to represent the general appearance of the stone. They cannot guarantee the exact colour, veining or markings of the stone used for your individual piece.
Natural stone variation does not affect your statutory rights where a product is genuinely faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
05Product Images
We make reasonable efforts to display our furniture and materials accurately.
However, colours may appear differently depending on:
- —Your screen
- —Device settings
- —Lighting
- —Photography
- —Natural variation in the stone
Measurements shown on our website are intended to be accurate, although small manufacturing tolerances may occur in handcrafted furniture.
06Prices
All prices on www.kavstn.co.uk are displayed in Pounds Sterling (GBP).
Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices include UK VAT at the applicable rate.
Standard delivery to England, Scotland and Wales is included in the price.
We may change our prices at any time, but a price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting your order, we will contact you before proceeding.
07Payment
We accept payment using:
[PAYMENT METHODS]
Payment must be made in accordance with the payment terms shown at checkout.
Where we offer deposits or staged payments, the following terms will apply:
[DEPOSIT TERMS]
You confirm that any payment method used belongs to you or that you have permission from the account holder to use it.
Your payment may be processed by a third-party payment provider.
08Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your order.
After placing your order, you may receive an automated acknowledgement.
This acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
Please check your:
- —Product
- —Size
- —Stone
- —Finish
- —Configuration
- —Delivery address
- —Contact details
carefully before submitting your order.
09When Our Contract Begins
A legally binding contract between you and Kavstn is formed when we send you confirmation that we have accepted your order.
We may decline an order where, for example:
- —Payment cannot be authorised
- —The product is unavailable
- —There has been an obvious pricing or description error
- —We cannot deliver to your location
- —We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
If we cannot accept your order after receiving payment, we will arrange a refund of the amount paid.
10Made-to-Order Furniture
Kavstn specialises in furniture that is made after an order is placed.
Our typical lead time is approximately 8–10 weeks from order confirmation.
Because our furniture is handcrafted from natural stone, this is an estimated lead time rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
Production requirements, material availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect the estimated timeframe.
If there is a significant delay, we will contact you.
11Bespoke and Personalised Orders
We offer bespoke furniture, including custom sizes, designs and specifications.
A product will be considered bespoke or personalised where it is made to specifications you have specifically requested and which differ from the standard options normally offered for sale.
Examples may include:
- —Custom dimensions
- —A non-standard stone
- —A specially requested configuration
- —A modified design
- —Other personalised specifications agreed with you
Please carefully check and approve all bespoke specifications before production starts.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the normal distance-selling cancellation right does not apply to goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.
Once production of a bespoke or personalised order has started, it cannot normally be cancelled because materials and labour have been allocated specifically to your order.
This does not affect your rights if the goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or incorrectly supplied.
12Changes to an Order
If you need to change your order, contact us as soon as possible.
Where production has not started, we will review the requested change and tell you whether it can be accommodated.
Once production begins, changes may no longer be possible.
If a requested change increases the price, we will tell you before proceeding.
13Delivery Areas
We provide free standard delivery across England, Scotland and Wales.
Delivery currently includes our complimentary White Glove Delivery Service.
We do not currently offer standard online delivery outside these areas unless agreed separately in writing.
14White Glove Delivery
Our White Glove Delivery Service is included with Kavstn orders.
Subject to safe and suitable access, our delivery team will:
- —Bring your furniture into your property
- —Take it to the agreed room
- —Unpack the furniture
- —Assemble it where required
- —Position it in place
- —Remove the delivery packaging
This matches the delivery service described in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
15Delivery Times
Our usual made-to-order lead time is approximately 8–10 weeks from order confirmation.
When your furniture is ready, we will contact you to arrange delivery.
Delivery dates and timeframes are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
If an event outside our reasonable control causes a delay, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
16Access to Your Property
Natural stone furniture can be large and extremely heavy.
You are responsible for making sure there is safe and suitable access from the delivery vehicle to the room where your furniture will be placed.
Before ordering, please check:
- —External entrances
- —Doorways
- —Hallways
- —Staircases
- —Landings
- —Tight corners
- —Lifts and weight limits
- —Ceiling heights where relevant
- —Steps
- —Room dimensions
Please also make sure the delivery route and installation area are clear.
If you are uncertain about access, contact us before placing your order.
17If Your Furniture Does Not Fit
Where the product supplied matches the dimensions and specifications ordered, inability to deliver the furniture to your chosen room because of insufficient property access does not make the product faulty.
You are responsible for checking that your selected furniture can safely reach its intended position.
This does not apply where we have supplied the wrong product or incorrect dimensions.
18Missed Deliveries
We will contact you to arrange delivery.
Someone must be available to receive the order at the agreed time.
If delivery cannot be completed because:
- —Nobody is available
- —Access cannot be provided
- —The furniture cannot safely reach its intended location
- —Delivery cannot proceed for another reason within your control
a £60 redelivery charge will apply.
A new delivery date will then be arranged.
19Risk During Delivery
We remain responsible for the goods while they are being delivered using the delivery service arranged by us.
Risk generally passes to you when you, or someone you have nominated, takes physical possession of the goods.
UK consumer legislation places delivery risk with the trader until the consumer takes physical possession, subject to limited exceptions where the consumer independently chooses their own carrier.
20Inspecting Your Furniture
We recommend inspecting your furniture once it has been unpacked, assembled and positioned.
If you notice visible damage or a delivery-related issue, please tell the delivery team where possible and contact us promptly.
Please provide:
- —Your order number
- —Clear photographs
- —A photograph showing the complete item
- —Close-up photographs of the affected area
- —A video where useful
- —A short description of the issue
Our current requested reporting period for visible delivery damage is:
[DAMAGE-REPORTING WINDOW]
Your existing Shipping & Delivery and Returns pages currently use 7 days.
Failure to report within that requested period does not remove statutory rights that you may have in relation to faulty goods.
21Cancelling a Standard Order Before Delivery
If you have ordered a standard product that has not been made to your specifications or clearly personalised, you may have the right to cancel your online order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, it is separate from any rights you have if the item is faulty.
2214-Day Cancellation Right for Standard Items
For a standard product covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days after the day you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel the contract.
You do not need to give a reason.
This 14-day right does not normally apply to goods that have been made to your individual specifications or are clearly personalised.
If you cancel a qualifying standard order, contact us using:
Because our furniture is large and heavy, please do not send furniture back without arranging the return with us first.
23Returning Standard Items
Where a statutory cancellation right applies and you cancel within the required period, we will explain how the furniture should be collected or returned.
Any return must be handled carefully because natural stone furniture is heavy and fragile.
Unless we have agreed otherwise or the law requires us to bear the cost, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning a change-of-mind item.
We may make a lawful deduction from a refund if the value of the product has been reduced because it has been handled beyond what would reasonably be necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.
Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, refunds are generally due within the statutory timeframe and should be made using the same payment method unless another method is expressly agreed.
24Bespoke Orders and Cancellation Rights
The 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply where furniture has been:
- —Made to your specific measurements
- —Personalised for you
- —Altered from the standard design at your request
- —Made using another clearly personalised specification
Once production starts on such an order, cancellation will therefore normally not be accepted.
This does not affect your rights if the furniture is faulty or does not conform to the contract.
25Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must be:
- —Of satisfactory quality
- —Fit for their usual purpose and any particular purpose made known and relied upon
- —As described
These statutory rights cannot be excluded by these Terms.
If your furniture is:
- —Faulty
- —Damaged
- —Incorrectly supplied
- —Materially different from your confirmed order
- —Otherwise not in conformity with your statutory rights
please contact us as soon as possible.
26How We Resolve Faults
Where a genuine fault or non-conformity is confirmed, your legal remedies depend on the circumstances.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, these can include the short-term right to reject, repair or replacement, and in appropriate cases a price reduction or final right to reject. The statutory short-term right to reject is normally 30 days, subject to the Act's conditions.
Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include:
- —Repair
- —Replacement of an affected component
- —Replacement of the product
- —Price reduction
- —Partial refund
- —Full refund
We will assess the issue in accordance with your statutory rights.
27Natural Variation Is Not Normally a Fault
Natural differences in genuine marble and travertine are not normally defects.
This includes reasonable variation in:
- —Veining
- —Colour
- —Pattern
- —Tone
- —Texture
- —Pores
- —Mineral markings
However, this does not allow us to supply a different material, specification or product from the one you ordered.
28Refunds
Where a refund is due, it will normally be issued to the original payment method.
The time taken for funds to appear after processing may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Nothing in this section changes any shorter or specific refund period required by law.
29Care of Natural Stone
Marble and travertine require reasonable care.
You should follow any care instructions supplied with the furniture or displayed on our website.
We recommend:
- —Wiping spills promptly
- —Using coasters and placemats
- —Avoiding harsh or abrasive cleaners
- —Avoiding strongly acidic cleaning products
- —Protecting surfaces from excessive heat
- —Avoiding dragging sharp or heavy objects across the stone
- —Using appropriate help when moving heavy furniture
Natural wear, misuse, accidental damage or damage caused by inappropriate cleaning may not constitute a product fault.
30Warranty
Where we provide an additional product warranty, details will be stated:
[WARRANTY TERMS / WARRANTY PERIOD]
Any commercial warranty we provide is in addition to, and does not replace or reduce, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
31Your Responsibility for Measurements
Please check all product and room measurements before ordering.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- —The product dimensions suit your room
- —There is enough space to use the furniture safely
- —The product can pass through the property
- —The delivery route is suitable
Where we supply the product to the dimensions confirmed in your order, incorrect customer measurements or unsuitable access will not normally make the product faulty.
32Our Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for:
- —Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- —Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- —Breach of statutory consumer rights
- —Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
As we sell to consumers, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, business interruption or loss of commercial opportunity arising from a consumer purchase.
33Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include serious transport disruption, natural disasters, industrial disputes, supplier disruption or other unexpected events.
Where such an event materially affects your order, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the delay.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

38Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on this page.
Any changes will apply from the date the updated Terms are published unless otherwise stated.
Changes will not normally alter the terms of an order that we have already accepted unless required by law or agreed with you.
39Governing Law
These Terms and any contract between you and Kavstn are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will normally have jurisdiction.
If you live in Scotland, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in the Scottish courts where applicable.
