Choose a size that seats everyone comfortably and leaves room to pull chairs out and walk around. Three quick checks:

1. Seating

Allow about 60 cm of table edge per person. Actual capacity depends on your chairs and where the base sits.

2. Space around the table

  • 90 cm from the table edge to a wall or furniture is the minimum to sit down and push a chair back.
  • 110–120 cm if people walk behind the chairs, e.g. a route to the kitchen.
  • 45–60 cm on a side that sits against a wall and isn't used for seating.

90 cm or 100 cm deep?

90 cm suits narrower rooms. 100 cm gives more space between opposite place settings and room for serving dishes down the middle. All our dining tables are 76 cm high.

Do not use bleach, abrasive cleaners, strong chemicals or rough cleaning pads. Use coasters, placemats and heat-resistant mats to help protect the surface.
Avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across the tabletop. A suitable natural-stone sealer can be used when required, following the product instructions.
